Pastor Sylvester Estrao earned his Bachelor’s in Religious Education and Bachelor’s in Theology at Doane Baptist Seminary, Philippines. He is pursuing his post-graduate program of Master of Arts in Religion and Doctor of Philosophy in Religion at Bethany Divinity College and Seminary.

Currently, he is the vice president of the Pacific West Baptist College and one of the assistant pastors of Grace Baptist Church in Surrey, BC.

Course Description

A study of the background, purpose, plan and message of the books of Moses, involving the practical application of doctrinal truth to the student’s life.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the student should:

a. Know and understand the background, purpose, plan and message of the books of Moses.

b. Be encouraged to study the Pentateuch in more detail.

c. Be more appreciative of God’s nature and character and the ways He manifests Himself to us.

d. Be more grateful for God’s mercy and grace and His plan to redeem mankind.

e. Make attitudinal and behavioural changes in his/her life because of the increased understanding of the books of Moses.

Here is the schedule for this course:

Part 1 – 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21 from 6:30-8:30 PM.

Midterm – 2/28

Part 2 – 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18 from 6:30-8:30 PM.

Final – 4/25

Note: No quizzes or exams for students who will audit this class.

Cost:

Audit: $120

Credits (3 credit hours): $360 plus books, if needed.

We use an online meeting technology called Zoom to bring the course directly to you, in your home, church building, at the coffee shop or wherever you have internet access.
